About Project SEARCHTM at the
University of Rochester Medical Center
Project SEARCHTM at the University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC) was launched in September 2009. The project operates in partnership between Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES, Arc of Monroe, ACCES-VR, Finger Lakes DDSO, and is coordinated by the Institute for Innovative Transition.
Eleven students are currently participating in Project SEARCHTM at URMC for the 2011-2012 academic school year. Students arrive on-site at URMC at 7:30am each school day and begin their day in the classroom where they focus on work readiness skills.

2011-2012 Students Began 1st Internship
Students at the Project SEARCHTM at the University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC) began their first internship rotation in October 2011. Thanks to the following departments for hosting our students:

- Food and Nutrition
- Linens
- Patient Transport
- Ambulatory Care 6th Floor
- James P. Wilmot Cancer Center
