About Project SEARCHTM at Wegmans Project SEARCHTM at Wegmans was launched in September 2010. The project operates in partnership between Monroe #1 BOCES, Lifetime Assistance, ACCES-VR, Finger Lakes DDSO, and is coordinated by the Institute for Innovative Transition.
Project SEARCHTM at Wegmans- 2012-2013 Class Program Statistics: Since 2010, 16 students have graduated from Project SEARCHTM at URMC, with 14 students (88%) successfully transitioning into competitive employment upon program completion. Eleven graduates of the program have been hired by Wegmans as a direct result of their internship placements. A typical day at Project SEARCHTM at Wegmans: 8:25am Students arrive at the Calkins Rd. store 8:30–9:30am Morning instruction 9:30am Students depart for internships (Some students are transported to the Marketplace of Ridge-Culver stores) 9:45am-2pm Internships (30 minutes for lunch) 2-2:30pm Afternoon instruction, journaling, problem solving Internship opportunities at Project SEARCHTM at Wegmans: Participants have access to a wide variety of internship options in departments throughout Wegmans, including (but not limited to):
