Services

The Institute for Innovative Transition aims to improve the availability and access of transition information to families, individuals with developmental disabilities, teachers and other constituents involved in the transition process. The goal is to increase awareness of resources in the community which will allow for a smoother planning process.

The Institute for Innovative Transition is a partnership of the Golisano Foundation and the University of Rochester's Strong Center for Developmental Disabilities and the Warner School of Education. The Institute is housed at Strong Center for Developmental Disabilities (SCDD), a University Center of Excellence in Developmental Disabilities at the University of Rochester. SCDD is a member of the Association of University Centers on Disabilities (AUCD).
