Jonathan W. Mink, M.D., Ph.D. is Profes-sor of Neurology, Neurobiology & Anato-my, Brain & Cognitive Sciences, and Pedi-atrics at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, and Chief of Child Neurology. He serves as co-chair of the Tourette Syndrome Associa-tion's national Scientific Advisory Board. Dr. Mink has an active basic research program focused on understanding the function of the basal ganglia in the con-trol of movement and mechanisms of movement disorders due to basal ganglia disease, and he specializes clinically in pediatric movement disorders with spe-cial interest in dystonia and TS.

 

Becky Maus is a 30-year veteran teacher in the Louisiana public schools. She is Director of the North Corbin Junior High School Band in Walker, LA. and has two sons and a husband with TS. "This has taught me about the indomitable human spirit within us. I provide my perspec-tives as an educator, spouse, and parent of people affected by TS by speaking the language of educators as well as the lan-guage of the heart." Becky is the found-er of the TSA Support Group of Greater Baton Rouge. Her son, Christopher, serves as Louisiana's first TSA Youth Ambassador.
