Think College NY!

College Options for Students with Intellectual Disabilities.

We believe that college should be an option for all students, including those with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Our goal is to expand high quality inclusive higher education options in New York. Read here what students are saying in  Let’s Talk About College!

Although you do not need a high school diploma to attend, there is an application process, and entry criteria. Each college option is different. Determine what’s important to you and take a look.

There are over 30 options in New York State, and over 270 college options nationwide. Check out the Think College national database developed by our colleagues at Think College at UMass-Boston. Click the think College! logo below for direct access to the  New York State database:

These college partnerships are supported by a U.S. Department of Education TPSID Grant as well as the New York State Education Department and Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD).
